This is a terrible recipe and the picture is very deceiving it looks nothing like this. How did you manage to get the red looking gravy without the addition of tomatoes? Very poor, I would have to agree with Vasanthi that you also need to grill this but still it lacks any flavour and depth. I would urge anyone that loves paneer tikka or chilli paneer to avoid this recipe as you will probably end up throwing this away uneaten.

This seems to be dry which did not come well when i prepared... please mention if this was dry or gravy.. as if its gravy then i did not get it well...

My fiance and I loved this recipe. I followed it very closely, except I used ground dried coriander (approx. 2 tsps) and put fresh cilantro on top for garnish. I also accidentally put 1/2 tsp of turmeric. It was very good! My fiance fried the paneer like Vasanthi reccommended for just about a minute (have to be careful that cheese doesn't melt) and then put it in the freezer so it didn't melt together. Also, it was hard to keep the milk from curdling- fiance caught it at an early stage and then turned down the heat. Thanks so much for sharing!

hi dania i liked ur recipe but i wanted to know when to put milk and curd in onion and what kind of curd should i use. because when i tried this recipe while frying onions i have added milk and curd it started coagulated.so can u please tell me on this problem.

i feel after marinating for half an hour, u need to tawa fry those paneer pieces on the tawa or grill for 10 mins, then add to the gravy. this comes out well. try this method.
