Kakdi (cucumber) sabji

cucumber with goda masala

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 2 cups chopped kakdi
    • 1 green chilli
    • 1 tsp goda masala
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1/2 tsp mustard
    • 1/2 tsp hing
    • 1/2 tsp haldi
    • 1 sprig curry leaves
    • salt,to taste
    • 1 tsp oil

    Directions

    1. wash and chop the kakdi into small cubes.
    2. Heat oil in a kadai and splutter mustard and then add green chilli,hing and curry leaves.
    3. Add kakdi,goda masala,haldi,salt and water.
    4. Close the lid and cook for 5 minutes.It cooks in minutes as its already tender.
    5. When it starts becoming thick,switch off the gas.
    6. Kakdi sabji is ready.serve hot with chapatti.

    dear sadiya & harini,goda masala is generally used in maharashtrian recipes.its a grinded powder of spices(coriander,jeera,red chilli,white sesame,cloves,cinnamon both stick and flower,black peppercorns,tejpatha,caraway seeds,cardomam with copra,hing and haldilike garam masala. sorry for the delay,not in station for abt 21/2 months
