why not add some green mango to the chutney and omit the onion and tomato. Tomato can be used when green mango is not in season. Otherwise the recipe sounds good.

Hi there, i am also agree with others that onion and garlic are not needed. I would also omit tomato and add ginger and peace of bread. Bread will give thickness and nice body to the recipe. try it and let me know.

Shaheen's recipe formulation itself suggests that the preparation must be very tasty and - I am about to make it. However, at this stage, I would like to say that not only the contributor of a recipe but also the commentators provide more and more recipe variants through their suggestions and trying every such suggestion is worthwhile. Hence I feel that the commentator should positively say if the suggested modification will also give an as much tasty preparation, so that a reader of the comment would be enthused to try it. It is no use just saying(for example), "Onion is not needed or Garlic is not needed or this can be be done without this or with that ingredient". If I am about to prepare the above chatney, I am not sure if I should use onion and garlic or not; it is a practical point. I hope that readers will appreciate my suggestion.
