Fish palak

Goes well with chapatis .

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1/2 kg fish pieces preferably surmai
    • 1 medium onion chopped
    • 5 green chillies
    • 2 tbsp yogurt
    • 1 cup steamed grounded spinach
    • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
    • 1 tsp red chilli powder
    • 1 tsp coriander powder
    • 1/2 tsp haldi
    • salt as desired
    • 1 tbsp dry methi
    • 1 tsp garam masala powder
    • oil to cook
    FOR MARINATION :
    • lemon juice of 1 lemon
    • 1 tsp ginger paste
    • 1 tsp garlic paste
    • 1 tsp red chilli powder
    • 1 tsp coriander powder
    • salt as desired
    • 1/4 tsp oregano
    • 1/2 tsp dry methi
    • 1/2 tsp powdered cmmin

    Directions

    1. Wash the fish , pat dry then mix it with the marination and keep aside . 
    2. Then heat oil and put the marinated fish in it and turn in a minute and then take out the fish from the pan , the fish should not be fried fully it shouuld be slightly fried .
    3. Then in the same oil fry the chopped onions till soft then take out the onions from oil and grind them with some water and 2 tbsp of yogurt .
    4. In the same oil add ginger garlic paste and saute .
    5. Then add the onion yogurt mixture to the oil in which we had previously added ginger garlic paste .
    6. Saute till the colour changes ,then add the dry spices except garam masala .
    7. Now add the spinach and cook till the oil starts separating 
    8. Now add the fish and green chillies whole and garam masala . And cover the pan and let it cook on low heat for 5 minutes .
    9. Serve with chapattis .
