Mango Khatt-Mitthi

Sweet And Spicy


Serve with Poori,Paratha And also can be used as spreads.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • ½ Kg Raw Mango 
    • 400 g Sugar OR Jaggery 400 Grams 
    • 1½ tsp Panch Foran [Ajwaiin Seeds, Wild Onion Seeds,Sounf, Mustard Seeds, Fenugreek (All In Equal Amount)] 
    • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
    • 7-8 Red Chilli, Whole
    • 1 tsp Coriander Seeds
    • ½ tsp Fenogreek
    • 1 tsp Sounf
    • 2 Bay Leaves
    • Oil And Salt to Taste


    1. Wash and clean the Mango and cut it into small pieces and keep aside.
    2. Take 2-3 Whole Red Chilli,Coriander Seeds,Sounf And Fenogreek Seeds and soute it and make powder by grinding and keep aside.
    3. In a pan heat oil,Add Panch Foran,Bay Leaves And Red Chilli and fryit till it changes its colour
    4. Add mango pieces, Stir well, Add Salt, Add Turmeric Powder And fry it till it tenders in a Medium Flame.
    5. Now add Sugar OR Jaggery , allow it to melt.In the same time,Add the Powdered Spices and cook it till mango becomes transparent and get a thick consistency.
    6. You can use Grapes instead of Mangoes
