Long rice depend on the quality of rice you use for cooking. Although cooking rice without lumps do not need you to be a master chef. Use parboiled or Sella basmati rice of good quality. Wash rice 3-4 times and Soak for about 2 hours. Add 2 cups of water to 1 cup rice for soaking.After 2 hours boil 4 cups of water and add soaked rice along with the water not soaked by rice. Simmer flame to low medium when it start boiling and leave lid half open. Check for rice done or not after 7-8 minutes. Drain rice when done. Add some ghee in drained rice and toss it up with soft hands. Put back drained rice in vessel after 4-5 minutes. Enjoy.
