Cut meat into long strips and hummer the pieces to make them flat.
Roast poppy seeds, Bengal gram,cumin seeds,both cardamoms,black pepper and almonds on a tawwa and then grind them into a paste.
Heat mustard oil in a pot and fry sliced onions till they turn golden.Take them out on paper towel and crush them with your hands and keep aside the used oil.
Mix papaya paste, salt, yogurt, ground masala, onions, ginger, red chilli powder and olive oil in the meat.Set aside for 3 hours.
Fold the meat strips into rolls.Heat the used mustard oil in a frying pan.
Arrange the rolls one by one neatly in the pan.
Spread the remaining masala over them and with the help of spoon,press them down.
When they are fried one side,turn them over.Sprinkle a little oil on top and cover with a lid.If u want you can smoke them by pouring oil over the hot coals placed on a chapati or foil.
Delicious bihari kababs are ready to be served with chutney and and parathas or puris.
