Leg of lamb

Its Very Very Delicious And Nutritious.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

    500 gms Leg of Lamb 1 tbsp. Poppy seeds 2 Onions (chopped.) 2 tsp. Ginger/Garlic paste: 15 Almonds (blanched and chopped) 2 sticks Cinnamon 6 nos. Green Cardamoms 3 Black Cardamoms 1 cup Yoghurt 4 Cloves 3 Pieces of Mace 1/2 Nutmeg 2 tsp. Red Chili Powder 2 tsp Salt 1 tbsp. Aniseed


    1. Place all the ingredients,from the poppy seeds to the aniseeds, In a blender and blend to a smooth paste.
    2. Prick the leg of lamb,with a fork, on all sides. Cover the lamb well with the paste.
    3. Heat the oil,put the leg inside and fry it on all sides. Add the water and continue cooking till the leg of lamb is tender and the oil floats on top.
    4. It takes about 1 1/2 hour for the leg to get tender. When it is all done serve hot with naan raita and salad.
