Chicken Badaam Korma

Chicken filled with Badaam & Kaju Paste

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1/2 kg chicken breast
    • 2 tbsp Badaam-kaju paste
    • 4 green cardamom
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 4 cloves
    • 1 cup curd
    • 3 tbsp oil
    • 2 onions
    • 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
    • 1 tsp red chilli pd.
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric pd.
    • 2 tsp Corriander pd.
    • Salt to taste
    • a pinch Javitri (Mace)
    • 1/2 tsp green cardamom pd.
    • 1 tbsp cream
    • corriander leaves for garnishing

    Directions

    1. Flatten each piece of chicken breast. Fill the pieces with badaam-kaju paste & seal with thread.
    2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add cloves,bay leaf & green cardamom. Let them crackle then add chicken pieces & fry  till golden brown.
    3. Add curd & cook till chicken gets tender. Then take out the chicken pieces & keep gravy aside.
    4. Again heat the remaining oil in a pan . Add sliced onion & fry till golden brown. Take out fried onions from the oil & make its paste with 1 tbsp curd.
    5. Add brown onion paste in heating oil with ginger garlic paste & dry spices. Fry till oil seperates. Add the gravy . If gravy is too thick then add 1/2 cup water. Bring to a boil & add chicken pieces. 
    6. Add Javitri , green cardamom pd. & cream. Cover the pan & cook on low flame for 10-15 min.
    7. Garnish with coriander leaves & serve hot with Nan.
