Kheer

Indian rice pudding

Kheer goes very well with plain crispy puris.

Ingredients vegetarian 8 servings


    • 2 cups Rice
    • 1 1/2 litres fresh milk (boiled)
    • Sugar to taste
    • 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
    • 2 cups unsweetned condensed milk
    • 1/2 tsp saffron(mixed in little milk)
    • 1 tsp cardamom powder
    • few raisins
    • Chopped almonds, cashewnuts and pistas for garnishing

    Directions

    1. Wash rice and boil with enough water till soft and water dried up.
    2. Mash rice (not very smooth, little grains should remain).
    3. Add sugar,nutmeg,cardamom and fresh milk, mix well and cook on medium heat, stirring all the time.till milk almost dries up.
    4. Add raisins, saffron and condensed milk, mix and cook for 10 mins.
    5. Transfer in a serving bowl, garnish with chopped nuts and keep in a refrigerator.
    6. Serve cold

    HI I AM NISHAH.......... I HAVE SOME SUGGESTION TO MAKE THIS KHEER BECOME MORE TASTE U SHOULD BLEND THE RICE THEN U BOIL IT....... WHEN U EAT U WONT FEEL THAT....THERE WAS RICEEEEEEE
