Dessicated coconut or tiny sweets(hundrends and thousands ) for decoration.
Directions
Put yeast in little warm milk ,cover and keep aside till frothy.
Sift flour in a dish,rub margarine,add egg,yeast,cardamom powder and sugar, mix everything and knead into soft dough using water.
Cover the dough and keep in warm place to rise until double in size.
Divide the dough in 4 parts,roll one part in thick roti,cut with round biscuit cutter ,cut again in the center with small cutter or any small lid to get a shape of doughnut.,finish the rest of dough in same way, keep all doughnuts to rise again.
Heat oil and deep fry risen doughnuts on medium heat till golden brown.
SYRUP
Put all ingredients of syrup in a pan, cook on slow heat stirring all the time until thick.
Pour about 1 tbsp of this syrup on all the doughnuts,sprinkle sweets and keep to dry.
