Sooji Pancakes

Small pancakes with vegetables

Ingredients vegetarian 8 servings

    • 1 cup sooji
    • 3 tbsps yogurt
    • 1 tbsp chopped carrot
    • 1 tbsp chopped cabbage
    • 1 tbsp corriander leaves
    • 2 tbsps chopped onions
    • 1 tbsp moong sprouts
    • 1/2 tsp Enos
    • 1 tbsp boiled peas
    • 2 tsps red chilly powder
    • Salt
    • 1 tsp dhania jeera powder
    • Chopped capsicum and tomatoes for garnishing


    1. Mix yoghurt and sooji in a semi thick batter, using water.Mix salt.
    2. Mix all vegetables in a bowl, add red chilly powder, little salt , dhania jeera powder and corriander leaves.
    3. Mix Enos in a batter, heat griddle, add little oil,put spoonfull of batter in the center,drizzle oil on the side,spread mixed vegetables on it,sprinkle tomatoes and capsicum, cook one side and turn over carefully to cook the other side, till light brown.
    4. Serve hot with green chutney.



    I tried making these, but they got sticked to the pan and didnt get cook. So, I had to add some besan to the mixture so that the pancake doesnt gets sticked to the pan and cooks easily. Can you provide some other solution instead of adding besan to the mixture ?
