Bitter gourd minus bitternes

People hate karela for its bitterness but heres a recipe tht wil change views about bitter gourd.. must try !!

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

    • 250 gms bitter gourd (karela) cut into slices
    • 2 onions  sliced
    • 1 tomato chopped
    • ½ tsp ginger garlic paste
    • ½ tsp zeera pwd
    • ½ tsp dhania pwd
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric pwd
    • ½ tsp red chilli pwd
    • corainder leaves
    • salt


    1. Fry karela till crisp
    2. Heat oil in a pan add onions and fry till light brown
    3. Add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, jeera pwd, dhania pwd, turmeric, red chilli powder and salt
    4. Now add the fried karela to this, add coriander leaves
    5. Cover and cook till tomatoes are done

    shalow fry the karela. its my mom's recepie. its so yummy


    how will the bitterness go


    fry karela??? But how? In oil or deep fry? Not clear.
