Chatpata Aloo Dum

Fasty-tasty food, ready to eat with anything

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • ½ kg potato
    • 2-3 table spoon mustered oil
    • 1 tsp full cumin seeds
    • 1 tsp asafoetida powder
    • 1-2 pieces onion (small to medium)
    • 1 medium sized tomato
    • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
    • 1-2 green chili cut longitudinally (according to taste)
    • ½ tsp turmeric powder
    •  Salt to taste
    • 10 gm green peas (peeled off)
    • 1 tsp garam masala powder
    • Coriander leaves

    Directions

    • Boil the potatoes and peel them off
    • Cut in big cubical pices
    • In a pan heat 1 table spoon mustered oil and add jeera seeds, asafoetida powder, in it. Cook  for 1 minute
    • Now add tomato onion paste into it and stir for 1 minute
    • Add boiled potato pieces and mix with the paste very well
    • Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, green chili and salt to taste
    • Add peeled off green peas, add a cup of water andcover with a lead for 1 minute
    • Open the lid and keep stirring the mixture well
    • Wait till water dries then mix garam masala powder properly
    • Add coriander leaves(cut into very small pices)at the top and cover the lid

    Serve hot
