Bhindi kurkure

crispy fried bhindis

Very tasty and extremely easy to make.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 kg bhindis
    • salt to taste
    • chillipowder
    • dhania or coriander powder
    • chaat masala
    • juice of two lemons
    • oil to deep fry


    1. Wash and dry bhindis. Slit them lengthwise into thin strips after chopping off the top and tip.
    2. Put bhindis in a large bowl, add all seasonings and mix well.
    3. Set aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
    4. Heat oil in a deep pan. Add bhindis little at a time and fry well till they turn golden brown.
    5. Remove on a paper towel and serve hot with a dip of your choice.

    Hi Usha, Thanks for the recipe. Tried them today and it was divine!! it was better than the restaurant one I had a few days ago! Even my son, who HATES bhindi, ate some and was very pleased!!!!! Thanks so much for the wonderful quick recipe. I added a teaspoon of rice flour and it was crispier. Vijayalakshmi
