Ingredients
vegetarian
2 servings
1 cup rice
1 tbsp tuvar dal,
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp jeera
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urad dal
1 tsp chana dal
1 tbsp coconut oi
10 -12 curry leaves
2-3 red chillis
salt to taste
1 tbsp grated coconut (optional)
Directions
Make a coarse powder of rice, tuvar dal, pepper and jeera.
Heat oil. Add mustard seeds,and when they crackle add urad dal and chana dal.
Add red chillis, curry leaves and 2 and 1/2 cups water and bring to a boil.
Add salt to taste, coconut and rice powder and mix well.
cover and cook .
serve hot
P.S:You can cook in a pressure cooker to save time and nutrients. In that case reduce the quantity of water to 2 cups.
