Paneer Bhurjee

Paneer cubes in sauted onions

This is quickly prepared recipe. I like it very much in my school lunch box with paranthas

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

  • 250 gms. Indian Cottage Cheese, fresh
  • 1 no. Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 no. Tomato
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • ¼ tsp Red Chili Powder
  • ½ tsp All spice powder
  • 1 no. Green Chilies, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Directions

  1. cut paneer into very small cubes.
  2. Fry chopped onion in 1 tbsp of oil till it turns light brown.
  3. Add chopped tomato and saute well.
  4. Now add garam masala, turmeric powder,chilli powder mix well .
  5. Add paneer cubes ,salt and green chilli.
  6. Mix well on low flame and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  7. Serve hot with paranthas

This is good. Try adding some jeera to the oil before the chopped onion/onion leeks. It does add to the taste. Yes, adding finely chopped capsicum definitely adds to the taste.

Its my suggestion to you once you try by adding 1 tsp of roasted Kasuri Methi,It will taste very good. Bansi Bathija

Tanu Chopra

Instead of turmeric powder you can add pav bhaji masala to it. It will give you a different taste.

Paneer bhurji would be more tastier if u add finely chopped Capsicum. No doubt, ur recipe is very tasty bt to change the taste one can use my above given idea.
