Ridged gourd preparation. Good for diabetics
Ingredients
vegetarian
4 servings
5 cups Turai (skinned & sliced)
1 cup tomatoes (sliced)
½ cup onion (sliced)
1/4 tsp hing
½ tsp haldi
1 tsp lal mirch powder
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sambar powder
1/4 tsp mustard
10 kadhi patta
2 tsp oil
Directions
Heat kadai. Add oil. Add mustard seeds, hing, haldi & mirch powder.
Add kadhi patta.
Add sliced onions. Stir for 2 mins. Add sliced tomatoes. Stir till water from tomatoes dry.
Add turai. Add salt.( Don't cover pan. Cook on medium flame. )Let turai cook in its own juice. When turai 1/2 done add sambhar masala. Cook till water dries.
