Simple Kheer

Simple to prepare

Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings


    • 150 gms Basmati Rice
    • 1.2 litres Milk
    • 75 gms Sugar
    • 4 Cardamom Pods
    • 150 ml Whipped cream
    • 1 tbsp Rose Water
    • 2 tbsp Toasted Almonds
    • Ground Cinnamom

    Directions

    1. Place rice, milk, sugar and cardamoms in heavy based saucepan and stir well.
    2. Bring to a boil, then simmer gently for 25 minutes (uncovered), until it is thick and creamy. Stir occasionally.
    3. Remove from flame and allow to cool. Remove Cardamom.
    4. Add whipped cream, rose water and nuts.
    5. Serve slightly chilled, sprinkled with cardamom.

    The rice can be even grinded before adding it to milk. For faster cooking, add sugar after the milk is sufficiently boiled. Also we can add condensed milk (milkmaid) for a creamier taste.

    vry easy recipe.i m always prepare the kheer without cream but i m read ur recipe then i make the kheer by adding the cream thanx
