Ingredients
non vegetarian 4 servings
1 kg shrimps
6-7 garlic cloves
5-6 pieces of kokam (soaked in water for half an hour)
10 dry red chillies (soaked in water for half an hour)
1 tsp turmeric powder
salt
oil
1-2 pieces of coal
Directions
Clean, de-vein and wash the shrimps.Keep in the strainer so that the water is dried completely.
Grind together garlic,dry red chillies and kokam to a thick paste.
Add salt and turmeric powder.
Now marinate this masala to the shrimps for some time.1 hour is enough.
Heat oil in a pan.Add the marinated shrimps and let it fry.
As its being fried, burn the coal.
After the shrimps are done turn off the flame. Make a small container out of foil paper or you can take a small steel container, keep it in the middle of the pan. Put the burnt coal in the container and add a few drops of oil on the coal. As soon as you put in drops of oil cover the pan with a lid so that the smoke does not escape from the pan.
