Dear lovely, you can pour the idli batter in a shallow pan ( preferably aluminium that can fit inside a cooker) then steam the batter in the cooker without whistle, as u do for dhokla. cut the pieces and enjoy !!

Hi If u do not have idli mould instead you can use small steel bowls. Pour the batter in equal quantity in the bowls and then steam them in cooker (without whistle) or a steamer.
usha
