Recipe by Anu Hiri of Holland,USA, US
This is a very easy to make idli made from rava and does not need any overnight fermenting.
Dear, Rashi ,Lekha, and Usha, Thanks for ur suggestion, especially Farha ha ha ha....
Dear lovely, you can pour the idli batter in a shallow pan ( preferably aluminium that can fit inside a cooker) then steam the batter in the cooker without whistle, as u do for dhokla. cut the pieces and enjoy !!
simple!! just buyone!!heee hee!!!you can steam it in a vessel kept in a pressure cooker and then cut it into pieces...
If u do not have idli mould instead you can use small steel bowls. Pour the batter in equal quantity in the bowls and then steam them in cooker (without whistle) or a steamer.
u can try steaming idlis in a greased steel plate and cut them to ur liking in the same way as dhoklasor khamans.
i have not idli mould so please tell me other option bcoz my children love idli
does the chana dal have to be ground?
