Pour 5-6 teacups of water in a large shallow pan and keep on fire and place the milk mixture pan in it,keep on stirring for about 8-10 minutes or till milk thickens.allow to cool.
In the same hot water,dissolve the soaked gelatine in the bowl,cool and mix in custard and add vanilla essence.
Whip cream for 1/2 minute and reserve 1/4 cream for decoration.Mix the remaining cream into the custard and keep it in the fridge for 1/2 an hour or till half set,stirring occasionally to avoid lumps.
Now beat the egg whites for 2-3 minutes.Fols into half set custard and pour into serving bowl.chill for 5-6 hours or till set.
Whip again the 1/4 remaining cream and powered sugar till stiff.
Fill in piping bag with star tube and decorate with cherries on the side of the bowl.
