Simple bean soup

It is a tasty and very popular low calorie dish from Maharashtra, generally served with rice.

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

  • 2 cups Beans, sprouted
  • 2 tsps. Clarified Butter
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds (black)
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • Salt to taste


  1. Cook sprouted beans in pressure cooker for ten minutes with four cups of water.
  2. Separate water from beans.
  3. Add buttermilk to the separated water.
  4. Heat ghee in a pan and add mustard seeds to it.
  5. When the seeds start spluttering add it to the sauce pan.
  6. Season with salt and garnish with corriander leaves.



i have never heard abt this receip.what do u mean by add to the sauce pan.
