Ingredients
vegetarian
2 servings
200 gms Bamboo shoots
200 gms Onions (sliced fine)
½ tsp Haldi
1 tsp Dhania powder
½ tsp Zeera powder
2 Green chillies (deseeded and slit lengthwise)
1 tbsp Oil
Salt to taste
Directions
Rinse the bamboo shoots well — many times — to remove all traces of brine.
Slice into bite size pieces. Heat oil in a pan and add the onions to it.
When the onions are translucent, put in the bamboo shoots along with the powdered spices.
Stir-fry for about two minutes.
Now add half cup of boiling water and let it simmer — uncovered — for about five minutes.
Garnish with chillies.
