green peas curry

This is very yummy recipe from Bihar/UP region

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 cup fresh green peas
    • 1 medium size onion finely chopped
    • 4 cloves of garlic
    • 1 tomato
    • 2-3 urad dal vadis made into small pieces
    • 1 tsp dhania powder
    • 1 tsp red chilli powder
    • pinch of garam masala powder
    • 1-2 bay leaves
    • coriander leaves for garnishing 
    • 1/2 inch ginger
    • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
    • 1 tsp dhania powder

    Directions

    1. Fry the vadis and keep aside
    2. Grind onion,garlic,tomato with dhania powder,chilli powder
    3. Make coarse paste for 3/4 qty of green peas and keep 1/4 as it is
    4. Chop potatoes into big pieces and deep fry them
    5. Now heat oil in a pan  put bay leaves, cumin seeds and fry the onion garlic masala paste and then peas paste till the oil separates.
    6. Put 1 1/2 cup water for gravy into it and fried potatoes and vadis, green peas into it.
    7. Boil it for some time. Add garam masala powder and garnish with grated ginger and coriander leaves.

    u can even add some pudina in paste it will add sum col n aroma to it.
