Masala rice

Spicy rice dish

a tasty recipe which i hope everybody will love to eat again n again & easy to prepare

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 cup basmati rice
    • 5 french beans
    • 2 onions
    • 1/2 carrot
    • 1 tomato
    • ¼ cup groundnuts
    • ¼ cup green peas
    • 2 tbsp oil/ghee
    • little jeera
    • ¼ tsp cumin seeds
    • 3-5 bay leaves
    • ½ tsp chopped ginger
    • 1½ tsp red chilli powder
    • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
    • ½ tsp garam masala powder
    • salt to taste
    • lemon juice as per reqd 

    Directions

    1. soak rice in water
    2. put oil in small cooker
    3. add cumin seeds,jeera & bay leaves
    4. add onion and roast till it becomes transparent
    5. add all vegetables
    6. then add rice in it
    7. add 2 cups of water in it
    8. add groundnuts and salt
    9. add all masalas
    10. add lemon juice
    11. and make 3 whistles
