heat oil, fry onions,pepper,jeera,dhaniya,coconut till onions turn brown and now add curry leaves and saute for just 1 min.
grind the fried ingredients into a fine paste adding water.
heat oil in seperate kadai and add cloves, ginger garlic and chicken and fry in high flame adding turmeric and salt allowing the chicken to blend in the masala for few minutes.add red chilli powder as per requirement and again fry for 2-3 minutes.
now add the ground paste and cook well stirring continuosly till the oil seperates and the chicken is coated with all the masala.
