Bread Sandwich

Bread filled with fried onion and tomatoes

Very delicious to eat. Convenient to carry when you are travelling.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    1 pack White Bread 2 tbs oil 1 tsp Mustard seeds 1 tsp Cumin seeds 1 large Onion 2 medium Tomatoes 3 to 4 Green chillies 1/4 bunch of Corriander leaves 1/4 bunch of Curry leaves 3 tbs sugar Salt to taste

    Directions

    For mixture:

    1. Heat the oil in pan (Balige), splutter mustard, cumin seeds and add chopped chillies and curry leaves.
    2. Add finely chopped onion, cook until onion turns translucent.
    3. To this add chopped tomatoes, cook further for 10-12 minutes.
    4. Add salt and sugar, further cook for 2-3 minutes and remove from flame and add chopped corriander leaves.
    5. Allow the mixture to cool down completely (atleast for 15 minutes).
      For sandwich:
    6. Take two slices of bread apply this mixture on one slice and keep the other slice on top.
    7. Turn it upside down and prepare it in the sandwich maker.
    8. Enjoy this with Tomato ketchup.

    Suitable while travelling too. Carry mixture seperataly and have it with plain bread relishing without the sandwich maker.
