Herb chutney

a popular chutney i remember eating at my mom's house

Ingredients vegetarian 1 servings


    • a bunch of mint leaves,
    • a handful of coriander leaves and curry leaves.
    • 2 tbsp urud dhal
    • 1 medium onion chopped
    • tamarind(size of small marble)
    • 5-6 red chillies
    • salt to taste

    Directions

    1. heat oil, fry urud dhal,onions red chillies till they turn colour and the aroma is out.
    2. now add the herbs and just toss them on the heat till they just shrink.
