Steam cooked and seasoned rice balls.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 cup Rice flour
    • 1 cup Water
    • 1 tsp Salt
    • 1 tsp Oil
    • 1 tsp Jeera


    • 1 tsp Oil
    • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
    • 1 tsp Urad dhal
    • 1 tsp Jeera
    • Curry leaves
    • ½ tsp Red chilly powder



    1. Heat water in a thick pan and add oil, salt and jeera to it.
    2. When the water starts boiling add rice flour and keep stirring
    3. When the mixture is uniform, cover for 2 mins and remove from fire.
    4. Leave aside for 5-10 mins.
    5. Now pour it into a plate. When warm knead and make small marble sized balls out of it.
    6. Now place them in a slightly greased bowl and steam cook these balls in a cooker for 10 mins.
    7. Remove and let them cool for a while.
    8. Now heat a kadai and add oil and the seasoning ingredients.
    9. Add the balls and fry for 2 mins. Now sprinkle red chilly pdr. and salt and mix well and serve hot



    hi....if u add sugar or jaggery to the rice flour while cooking makes perfect undrallu.
