Milagu araicha mutton

just peppered!!

a dish that requires very little spices and also very easy to make....a totally different peppered mutton and a dish that my mom made so easily!!!

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

    • 750 gms mutton
    • 1 1/2 tsp jeera
    • 2 1/2 tsp pepper
    • 10 pods of garlic
    • 5-6 whole red chillies
    • 2 onions finely chopped
    • 2 tsps ginger garlic paste
    • 2 tsp turmeric
    • salt to taste
    • few curry leaves


    1. pressure cook the mutton with ginger garlic paste ,1 tsp of turmeric and little salt and 1 1/2 cups of water.
    2. grind pepper,jeera and garlic and half the chopped onions into a paste
    3. heat oil,add the remaining onions,whole red chillies,curry leaves and fry well.add the mutton and also the ground pepper masala with turmeric and salt.
    4. keep stirring well on high flame till the mutton is fried well into the masala and blends well with the spices and is totally dry.
    5. add the mutton stock which is remaining in the pressure cooker and cook for another 10 minutes till you get a saucy and thick gravy.
