Mint Chutney

I learnt it from my Mother-in-law who is a very good cook

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

  • 1 bunch Mint
  • 1 tsp tamarind, juice
  • Red Chilies to taste
  • Vegetable Oil for frying

handful of Roasted Chana 5 tsp Chana Dal


  1. Wash and separate mint leaves and keep them aside.
  2. Take a pan, add little oil and put chana dal and red chilies in it. After a few seconds, add the mint leaves and salt.
  3. Cool and blend for two minutes. Finally, add putani or roasted chana dal and tamarind juice.
  4. Adjust salt and water for your taste.

Note: do not put the stem of the mint as it spoils the whole dish.
