Crispy Bread Bonda

this is a very tasty snack preferably for evening time children will love it.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 5 boiled mashed potatoes
    • 2 onions finely chopped
    • 1 bunch coriander leaves(small bunch)
    • 3 green chillies, finely chopped
    • 1 sprig curry leaves
    • 2 tsp oil for seasoning
    • turmeric & asofoetida
    • a pinch salt for taste
    • 6- 8 bread slices
    • oil for frying


    1. Place a non stick pan and 2tsp oil, mustard when it splits add hing, chopped onions, curry leaves, green chillies turmeric powder and fry it  now add mashed potatoes and salt for taste.  When cooled make requred number of balls and keep aside.
    2. Now dip one slice of bread in water and place the bread in between your palms and press it so that all the water will drain.
    3. Now place one ball of filling in the centre of this bread and pack the filling in such way it is completely covered.
    4. Now drop this bond in the oil and fry till golden brown and remove from oil and place it on the butter paper.
    5. Now serve it with tomato ketchup or chutney.  Children will love it.
