spicy chicken gravy

when i though i must variate the way i add my spices i got this one.....

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 kg chicken
    • 1 onion
    • 4 tsps grated coconut
    • 1 tsp jeera
    • 1 tsp saunf
    • 1 1/2  tsp dhaniya
    • 4-5 cloves
    • 1 inch cinnamon
    • 1 cardamom
    • 8 whole red chillies
    • 1 1/2 tsps red chilli powder
    • 1 tsp turmeric
    • 3 tsps ginger garlic paste
    • curry leaves and coriander


    1. dry roast jeera,saunf,dhaniya, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and the red chillies and grind to fine powder.
    2. heat oil in a kadai and fry chopped onions and the grated coconut and grind to paste.
    3. in the same kadai fry curry leaves, ginger garlic paste and the chicken on high flame adding salt, turmeric and red chilli powder.
    4. after 3-4 minutes add the ground masala powder and again toss well till the masala combines well with the chicken.
    5. add also the onion and coconut paste and cook well adding water enough for your gravy.
    6. cook till chicken is tender or pressure cook till 3 whistles.
    7. garnish with coriander and serve hot.



    hello. is just only 1 onion is enough for a 1 kg chkn.
