Poha Patties

Patties made made Beaten Rice & Potato

Tasty patties...any time.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 cup Thin Poha (beaten Rice)
    • 1 Medium Potato (boiled)
    • 2-3 tblsp Besan
    • 2 tsp Cumin seeds (jeera)
    • 2 tsp chopped Ginger
    • 3-4 chopped Green Chillies
    • 1/2 tsp Red Chilli powder
    • Salt to taste
    • 1/4 cup chopped Cilantro (coriander leaves)
    • 5-6 Curry leaves (finely chopped)
    • Vegetable Oil for frying


    1. Soak Poha in warm water untill soft.
    2. In a mixing bowl, take all the ingredients except Oil & mix well.
    3. Make Medium size balls & lightly flatten them on your palm.
    4. Heat Oil in a kadai & deep fry the patties on a Medium heat until golden brown. Serve hot with tomato sauce & Mint chutney. Tastes good even with Coconut chutney.
