Corn Pakora

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 450 grm (1 can) Corn chopped in a blender
    • 1 Egg
    • 1 tbsp plain flour
    • 1 ½ large onion chopped
    • 2 Green chilies chopped
    • ¾ tsp baking powder
    • 1 tsp Red chilies powder
    • 2 tbsp maize flour
    • Salt to taste
    • Oil for frying

    Directions

    1. In a bowl, mix all ingredients expect oil and refrigerate for ½ hr.
    2. Heat oil in kadai. Slowly dip the mixture and let it cook till golden brown
    3. Serve hot with any chutney you like.

    Hi Mohd! You can remove grains from corn and grind, but for the faster process I will advice you to buy a can of corn. Maize is the other name for corn, but it is taller than ordinary corn. Please don’t get confused you can use corn flour. Thanks! KAVITA (ps. kindly spell my name correctly).

    Kaveetaji, How would you differentiate between corn flour, maize flour, and finely grounded corn ??? Regarding 450 gms. of corn, can we remove fresh corn from cob and grind it and it is mandatory to buy a can of 450 gms as per your ingredients. ???
