Panjabi Chana Dal

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 Cup chana dal socked for 1 hr.
    • 1-2 Onions chopped
    • 3-4 Green chilies chopped
    • Few curry leaves
    • ½ tsp Jeera
    • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
    • 4-5 tomatoes chopped
    • ½ tsp turmeric powder
    • Coriander leaves
    • Salt to taste


    1. Boil chana dal and keep aside (don’t blend)
    2. Take oil in kadai, add jeera, curry leaves, red chilies.
    3. After few minutes add onions and ginger garlic paste, cook well.
    4. Add tomatoes, red chilies, turmeric powder and salt, cook till tomatoes are soft.
    5. Now add boiled chana dal stir well add coriander leaves.
    6. Serve hot with puris or chapattis
