Tendli with cashew

Serve as a dish during lunch

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • ¼ kg Tendli (Ivy gourd)
    • 100 g cashew nut (half piece)
    • 3 tbsp Oil
    • 2 Red/ Green chilly (Cut into 2)
    • ¼ tsp Mustard seeds
    • 2 tbsp Grated Fresh coconut (optional)


    1. Wash & Cut Ivy Gourd into 4 piece - Lengthwise
    2. Heat Oil in a pan and add Mustard seeds
    3. When Mustard seeds starts popping add chilly and fry for ½ a minute
    4. Now add Ivy gourd and fry for 2 minute and add cashews and keep frying for a minute (Add little water if needed)
    5. When Ivy gourd is almost done adjust salt to taste and sprinkle grated coconut

    You need to add a dash of water if not the vegetable remains raw.
