Rajasthani Dahi vada

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

    • 10 Moong Dal Vada (medium size)
    • 500 g Curd
    • 2 tbsp Sugar
    • Salt to taste
    • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
    • 1 tsp Roasted Jeera Powder
    • 1 tsp Red Chilly powder
    • 1 cup Tamarind Chutney
    • a few Coriander Leaves (finely chopped)


    1. Soak moong-dal vada for 4-5 hours. While serving, squeeze out the water.
    2. Put it in a serving plate.
    3. Beat the curd along with sugar and pour over the vadas. Also pour the tamarind chutney and sprinkle all the masala to taste. Garnish with chopped coriander.
