Ingredients
vegetarian 4 servings
2½ cup toor dal
2 tomatoes (made into paste)
1 tsp chilli powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp salt
1 clove garlic
1 tsp zeera
3 cups water
5 tbsp oil
1 tsp rye seeds
5-6 curry leaves
¼ onion (chopped)
Directions
In a pressure cooker, put the dal, tomato paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, zeera, garlic clove and water and pressure cook for 20-25 minutes.
Now transfer the contents of the cooker with the help of a little water into a large vessel.
Blend the mixture using a hand blender.
In a small kadai put the oil, rye seeds, onion and curry leaves till the contents become golden brown.
