Biriyani Masala

Gives nice flavour to ur favourite Biriyani

You can add this to ur panjabi curry dish.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 3 tsp.Dry coriander seeds
    • 3 tsp.Aniseeds (variyali)
    • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
    • 3 pieces of Cinamon stick (2 inches in size)
    • 6-8 black pepper
    • 6-8 cardamom
    • 2 star anise (fulchakri)
    • 1/4 tsp nutmeg pwd


    1. First five ingredients roast one by one.
    2. Let it cool.
    3. Collect all the ingrdients and grind them together.
    4. Freshly ground masala gives better flavour.
    5. After cooling fill in a clean jar. You can preserve it in fridge.




    Dear Jan, thanx but I prefer to add Kashmiri red chilly powder, which gives good colour to biriyani or curry.Try it.

    Couple of Round DE Seeded Dried Red Chilles will make a world of difference to you masala. Sounds good I'll Try It
