Soya-sukhadi

Sweet snack

A sweet snack made with soya flour for children.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1½ cup soya flour
    • 1 tb.sp. wheat flour
    • 1 cup jaggery (gud) in small pisces
    • 1 tb.sp.sesame seeds
    • 1t.sp.poppy seeds(khuskhus)
    • 1 t.sp.dry ginger pwd(saunth)
    • ¾ cup ghee

    Directions

    1. In a kadai heat ghee on a low flame.
    2. Add both the flours and sesame seeds.
    3. Keep stirring it for abt. 5 min.on a medium flame.
    4. When you smell nice flavour (like suji halwa)and flour is brownish in colour, add dry ginger pwd.
    5. Mix it well and add jaggary.
    6. Mix it  for abt 2 min
    7. Take out in greased  thali.(Or a flat tray)
    8. Spead evenly in thali.
    9. Garnish with poppy seeds
    10. Cut in to square pisces when it is still hot.
    11. Let it cool. Take out in airtight container.
    12. You can keep it for atleast a week.

    No Parvathy. Gud will start melting once you add it to the hot flour mixture.
