Masala Dosa

Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings


    FOR DOSA BATTER
    • 3 cup rice
    • 1¼ cup Urad dal
    • salt as to taste
    • 10-12 methi (fenugreek) seeds
    • oil for make dosa 
    FOR MASALA FILLING
    • 5 Tbsp oil
    • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
    • 6-8 curry leaves
    • ¼ tsp hing
    • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
    • 12-15 green chillies
    • 6 onion sliced
    • 4 boiled potatoes cut in to medium size  cubes
    • 1 cup boiled peas
    • salt as to taste
    • 1 tsp turmeric powder
    • 3 tbsp coriander powder
    • 2 tbsp garam masala powder
    • 1 tsp red chilli powder

     

    Directions

    DOSA
    1. Separately soak rice, methi seeds and urad dal at least 6 hour or overnight in water.
    2. Grind to paste.
    3. Mix together, add salt with water to make batter.
    4. Leave in room temperature 8 hours or overnight.
    MASALA FILLING
    1. Take a pan add mustard seeds,curry leaves ,hing, ginger garlic paste and geen chilli paste.
    2. add sliced onion cook for 5 min then add boiled potatoes.
    3. add boiled peas, salt, turmeric, coriander, garam masala and red chili  powder .
    4. Take a non stick pan spread oil and Spread the batter on pan in circular motion to make thin Dosa.
    5. cook one side fill the masala filling inside the dosa. and roll the dosa.
    6. Take out in a pan serve with sambhar and coconut chutney.
