Sarson da saag

Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings

    • 1/2 kg sarson ka saag
    • 250 gm spinach saag
    • 250 gm methi saag
    • 5 nos tomatoes
    • 3 nos onion
    • 3 tbsp grated ginger
    • 3 tbsp chopped garlic (optional)
    • 2 tbsp chopped green chillies
    • 3 tsp butter
    • salt to taste
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    • red chilli powder to taste
    • 1tbsp lime juice


    1. wash saag in a salted water properly.
    2. chop them and pressure cook them.
    3. after that coarsely grind them.
    4. now melt butter in a degchi . now put garlic ginger greem chilli in a pan and saute them for a while.
    5. now put chopped onions and cook them till onions get soft. mix finely chopped tomatoes and let them cook tilll tomatoes get soft .
    6. mix saag along with haldi lime juice and red chilli powder.
    7. let it cook for 15 minutes on low flame.
    8. sarson da saag is ready to serve with makki ki roti.
