Methi na puda

Dosas made with mix flour and fenugreek leaves

can be eaten as breakfast, evening snack or simply as dinner

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

    • 1 cup gram flour(besan)
    • 2 cups rice flour
    • 1/4 cup wheat flour
    • 1 cup fenugreek leaves(methi) with tender stems
    • 1/2 cup coriander leaves with tender stems
    • 2 tsp. green chillies finely chopped
    • 1/2 tsp ginger paste
    • 2 tsp. garlic paste
    • 1 tbsp curd
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric pwd
    • salt to taste
    • oil for frying


    1. Mix flours, curd and enough water to make thick batter (like idli). Add salt and turmeric pwd and keep aside to ferment for 5 hrs
    2. Wash both the leaves and spread them on a cloth to remove excess water then chop.
    3. Add green chilli, ginger,garlic, fenugreek leaves and coriander leaves.Mix well.
    4. Spread a ladleful batter on hot non stick tawa and put 1 t.sp. oil around it.Cook on medium flame.
    5. When edges are brown turn carefully and cook other side
    6. Serve hot with tomato catch up or green chutney.
    7. PLZ note you can add bajara or jowar flour also while making batter.
