Jungli mutton curry

a recipe i tried years back...thought i will share this with you all.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1/2 kg mutton
    • 1 onion
    • 2 tomatoes
    • 2tsps whole dhaniya
    • 8 whl red chillies
    • 1/2 tsp shah jeera
    • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
    • 1/2 tsp pepper
    • 1 inch ginger
    • 7 cloves garlic
    • 1/2 tsp oppy seeds
    • 1 inch cinnamon
    • 2 pods cardamom
    • salt to taste


    1. grind all whole masala together into a fine paste along with ginger and garlic.
    2. pressure cook mutton with salt and turmeric till 5 whistles.
    3. heat oil and saute onions and tomatoes till soft and add the ground masala paste.add salt to taste and fry well till oil seperates.
    4. add the cooked mutton along with the mutton stock and cook till it boils well.
    5. serve hot with rotis or rice
