Karela Lovers would adore this yummy recipe. Vegetarians can try this too by substituting meat with paneer or tofu.
Ingredients

5 nos. Bitter gourd
300 gms. Minced Meat
Vegetable Oil for frying
¼ tbsp Red Chili Powder
½ tsp Turmeric Powder
½ tsp Coriander powder
½ no. Lemon, 10-12 drops
1 no. Onion
1 no. Tomato
4 nos. Green Chilies
½ tsp Garlic, paste
½ tsp Ginger, paste
2 tbsps. Tomato, puree
Salt to taste
Directions
Peel karelas, make on opening in between (lengthwise) and sprinkle a little salt and a few drops of water onto it. Keep aside for 15 minutes and then deep fry them.
Half cook the mince with a little salt added to the water.
Sieve all the extra water from the mince, and add finely chopped green chillies to it.
Heat a pan, add oil and when hot add finely sliced onions to it. Fry till half golden and add chopped tomatoes to it.
When this masala starts leaving the oil on sides, add salt, red chilli, and mince
Fry a little and let cook for 5-10 minutes. Add a little water if required.
When done put off the flame and let cool down . Stuff it into the karelas , and bind the karelas with thread to prevent the stuffings from spilling out.
Now in pan fry a very little oil, add ginger garlic paste, fry and add tomato puree. Add a pinch of salt and red chilli (sufficient for that masala), turmeric powder and dhania powder.
Add the stuffed karelas. Stir fry and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Serve hot. decorate with round sliced onions
Vegetarians can try it with grated paneer instead of mince.
