Carrot Kheer (gajar ki kheer)

Ingredients vegetarian 1 servings

    • 1/2 cup of sago pearls (saboo dana) washed
    • 1 can of sweet condensed milk
    • 1 cup of sugar
    • 4 cup of milk regular or 2%
    • 2 tsp butter
    • 2-3 pinch safron (zafran)
    • 2 oz Almond chopped
    • 3-4 Carrots (gajar), peeled and shredded
    • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
    • 1/2 cup rice, washed, soaked and drained
    • 2 tbsp shredded coconut


    1. Heat butter add cardamom powder and Carrots cook 8-10 minutes then add 2 cups of milk
    2. Add drained rice cook on medium heat till rice looks tender and smoosh it now again, add 2 cup of milk
    3. Add sugar+ condensed milk whole can and cook to bring boil then on low heat add saffron and half amount of almond coconut
    4. Now remove from heat and blend it all with hand blender set in to glass bowl and garnish with almond and coconut
    5. serve it hot or chilled good source of calcium and yummmmmmmyyy try it when you invite your friends also treat your self and kids

    this recipe was great.. i didn't add sabudana


    in carrot kheer we normally don't add rice.



    hi shaheen very nice recipe, as far as i concern i think sabudana will give good taste to it, not only for good taste but also it is very good for our health, when sabudana can use in khichdi so why not in kheer. bye and tc



    in carrot kheer sabudana is not used.avoid sabudana.
