Baby potato and baby onion sabzi

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 15 baby potatoes
    • 15 baby onions
    • 2 tbsp. coriander pwd
    • 1/4 tsp. cumin pwd
    • 1 tsp. red chilly pwd
    • 1/4 tsp. turmeric pwd
    • salt to taste
    • 1 tsp. cumin seeds
    • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp oil


    1. Soak potatoes in warm water for 30 min. Clean the dirt but don t peel. Cut and make two pcs
    2. Remove skin of onions and make two slits till 3\4
    3. Mix all the spices and 1.sp. oil
    4. Stuff little in onions
    5. In a non stick pan heat oil and add cumin seeds
    6. After spluttering add potatoes and cook for 3 min 
    7. Add 1 tb.sp. water and cook for 2 min
    8. Now add onions
    9. When potatoes and onions both are soft it is done
    10. Serve with tava roti and dal

    add a dash of hing and some amchoor (dry mango powder) for added flavour.
