Meat with Satkora

Satkora (Shatkora) is a type of citrus sour lemon like fruit mostly grown in Bangladesh and Eastern states.

Ingredients non vegetarian 8 servings


    • 1 Kg Meat, medium size
    • 400 g Onion, finely sliced
    • 2 tbsp Garlic paste
    • 1/2 tbsp Ginger paste
    • 1/2 cup Oil
    • 1 tsp Chilli powder
    • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
    • 1 tsp Coriander powder
    • 1 tsp Roasted cumin powder
    • 1 tsp Black pepper powder
    • 1 tsp Garam masala powder
    • 1 cm Satkora (Medium size), pieces
    • Salt to taste

    Directions

    1. Mix all ingredients a thick bottomed pan (except satkora & garam masala), cover and cook.
    2. When water is dry then add 2 cup hot water and bring it to boil.
    3. Cover the pan and simmer for a least half an hour or till meat is fully cooked then add satkora.
    4. Mix well and cook for 10minutes.
    5. Now add garam masala simmer for another 10 minutes.
    6. Serve hot with rice.

    ASAK,Your dish looks mega yummy, can I use lemon if I can't find satkora???Plz let me know.
